You can’t always get what you want….

When our Sasha the wonder dog had to be put down this fall, we did not intend to get another dog for a while for a variety of reasons. But I knew we would eventually get another dog. I have almost always had one, and I love having a dog in the house. I knew my next dog was going to be either a German Shepard or a Doberman. Instead, I ended up with PuppyWuppy the Bozzo Great Dane.

Miss Madison aka Maddie aka Bozo

I’ll admit, she is sweet. But there are days where I would gladly trade her in. When I saw what she had done to one of the rear seats of my new (used) car!!! – chewed straight threw on a top corner to the wood inside !!!! who knew Mazda’s were made of wood???  She chases my cats incessantly, trying to get them to play!! (They won’t. They dislike her. Except for the poor, dead kittey.)

Slobber Kittey

Don’t worry, she doesn’t really die. She just puts up with a hell of a lot of slobber, a hell of a lot of the time! For some reason, Mina (the cat) doesn’t mind the dog much. But this dog, (this cute ridiculously large puppy, who slobbers, eats horse shit, chews on my boots, hats, mitts and socks, and the kids’ boots,  hats,  mitts, and socks, and farts extraordinarily stinkily, and bounces around knocking glasses off tables, slimming sweaters, and just generally causing destruction when not sleeping), how the hell did she end up in my life?? I wanted a gently protective incredibly smart German Shepard. A dainty adorable doberman. Instead, I ended up with SlobberGiant, who only listens when it’s convenient or when she knows she is not in trouble.

Why?

How?

Ask the Rolling Stones of course…

‘but if you try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need.’
