Exhibit A
Proud? Of this?????
Exhibit B

Proud!
Exhibit C

Definitely Proud!
Explanation A: I cleaned and organized my tupperware drawer. As Martha says, that’s a good thing. It’s been bugging me for a while, but I hadn’t bothered to do anything about it. Finally did the other day. It’s a start.
B: What can I say? She is my beautiful, sweet, smart and loveable child. Of course I am proud of her.
C: Sisters cuddling, watching tv together. A rare moment of peace and quiet, when they are truly being sisters, just hanging out! They fight like cats and dogs but there are times when you know these two love each other. Makes me glad that they have each other. As the saying goes, You can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your family.

Too cute. I can’t wait to see you at xmas. We’re thinking of coming to Ottawa probably 24-29 December – it will be extra tricky this year as Jox will probably try to fly down to see his dad in Arizona for a few days. We’ll see. I need to get warm boots, though. I’m not used to the well-below 0 degree winters at the barn anymore, but I am looking forward to helping you, even if I’m not sure about actually mounting Bailey. Glad the books are interesting.
Big hugs to all of you,
Sarah

Any thoughts on moving a bit further south?

I’ve been looking around too, on the mls site, lots of interesting properties out there. But distance is always a factor.
So far, winter boots haven’t been necessary, just rain boots. But that can change in the blink of an eye.
I’m thinking crazy thoughts, and might rope Todd into helping me with Bailey a few times, just to sit on him. He is such a good boy (Bailey I mean, well, Todd is too!) I’m thinking I might just get Todd to hold him while I hop on and off a few times. Todd has some misgivings, as he has very little horse experience, but, really, I think it would be fine. And Bailey would get some exposure to having someone up there. A few barn people have offered to help me, and a few have said things along the lines of ‘I hope she doesn’t expect me to help her…..’ so I’d rather do this on my own completely. I don’t want to impose, or owe anyone. You know how it is! Not that I’ve asked anyone to help me, they just assume I’m a dumbass without a clue. Maybe by the time you get here, Bailey will be slightly rideable, or at least lungeable with a rider on! We’ll see.
PS Is it lunge or longe? I see it both ways all the time and never know which is right.
PSS Are there any tack shops near you? I’m looking for European Side reins aka Vienna side reins aka sliding side reins. Cheapest here are $70 US + shipping, maybe in Europe they have ‘European Side Reins’ reasonably priced? Otherwise I’ll bight the bullet, and get some here.

I’m looking for sliding side reins, I do have a pair of donut side reins already! They are also called Vienna side reins. They fit from the lower side of the surcingle or saddle, up through the bit and back up to the surcingle on the higher side, if that makes any sense. They are almost like draw reins, but adjusteable, and the horse does the adjusting himself, by how he goes.
They are not as fixed as side reins, so he won’t learn to evade the contact or lean on it, but rather work into it.
There is a lot of info out on the interweb, some of it shite, some of it good! But I only have so much time!
