This is one of my most beautiful little trees, a flowering crabapple. It is right outside my kitchen window, so when I’m ’slaving’ away in the kitchen, I can just look outside, and forget about the dishes. I don’t like pink, but I sure loves this little one. It’s one that I grafted back in college, when I was taking the horticulture course, so that would make it about 8 years old now.
Kittens are doing well. Darn, they are all so cute. I want to keep one, but I don’t know which one. Too hard to decide. I’ll try to post some more pics of them soon.
Tomatoes are doing well too. Not quite in the garden yet, still have some cold nights being forecasted, but they don’t seem to mind too much staying in their pots. So far I’ve sold a few online, but haven’t made a million yet. Hoping to do a plant sale this weekend, but it’s going to by a busy time. Grandma Monica’s coming tomorrow, Emma’s birthday party is on Sunday, so far 8 girls are coming, but we invited 12. What was I thinking???? Still have to do the loot bags, get the pinniata, plan games, clean up the yard and the house, bake a cake, figure out snacks, oh, did I mention Monica’s birthday is on Saturday? But I’m thinking her wonderful son can buy her a yummy cheesecake, simular to the one he bought me for my birthday. (Did I mention I had a birthday a little while ago?) It was one of the yummiest cheesecakes ever! And we should take her out for dinner. And to top it all of, Greyhound buses have gone on strike, so my mom can’t come after all. I was really hoping she would be able to make it. She is still Supermom, and now SuperMormor (means grandma in Danish), and helps me out so incredibly when she comes here. Magically, kids have clothes in their dresser, dishes get done, and the kitchen floor is clean. I certainly can’t keep up, or live up to that work ethic.
I believe in Mother’s day, especially for my mother. I hope she knows! I try to tell her, but you don’t always listen when you’ve been told something nice. So I really hope she knows!!
