Yay, never in a million years would I have thought new windows would make my day, but apparently being 35 years old does things to the brain! The main house is now fully equipped so to speak. You can actually look in and out, no fog, no haze, clear picture. So no more naked house dancing without closing the blinds! And the best thing is, the window guy is also a general contractor, and willing to try to fix our basement very soon. So the house may actually be habitable come Christmas time. Can you spell relief? Not R-O-LA-I-D-S or TUMS. It is Martin something or other, our new contractor. Hopefully, if he works out then we’ll have other projects that he can help us out with. Like fixing the dining room windows, maybe insulating, oh, just build us a new house!!! But he seems like a nice guy, and so far, of the not quite dozen contractors I’ve talked to, at least he is willing to do the work, as opposed to telling us what should be done. (like burn the house down, hide it and sell it, raise it up for sixty-five thousand dollars, etc…..)So we are keeping our fingers crossed, and hoping. Apparently it’s harder to find a good contractor than a good mechanic, and it’s harder to find a good mechanic than it is to find a good doctor in Canada these days. So we are keeping are fingers crossed!!
