Happy (late) Turkey day!

Well, we did have a very nice Thanksgiving holiday.  Mom and Dad ( aka Mormor and Morfa) did come for the weekend, and we all had a good time.  I think Dad’s highlight was watching hockey on the big screen Saturday night, but Mom and I had some good chats, played a card game with Todd, and the girls were bathed regurlarly.  Dinner itself was really nice, friends of ours with their two little girls who are friends of Emma and Meg, came over.  It was nice.  I’m thinking, if they don’t do Christmas dinner, I may invite them for that, if no one else minds.  Kind of the more the merrier.

School is still going well for Emma, although I think I’m having a harder time with it.  She isn’ t very talkative when she gets home, so I don’t get to know a lot of what goes on during her day anymore.  If anything, she is very combative when she gets home.  And it is hard having a showdown every day after school.   She reminds me alot of myself, and what a little snot I was, and I keep praying I don’t get payback this early.  I think at least I was around  14 or so before the shit really hit.  She is only  five!!

One new thing, once our sattelite contract is over, I think we are going cable free!  It just feels like I waste too much bloody time on the boob tube, and so do the kids.  It’s great for movies,  but no more crappy brain rot.  I have so many other things I want to do, that I haven’t been doing, and it’s starting to get silly.  I haven’t picked up any of my violins for months, and I’ve wanted too, it’s just too late,  wake the kids up, somethings on, etc….Always some excuse.  And my writing, which I start and stop, start and stop, I want and need to pay more attention to it as well.

And finally, my handsome boyo, (check out flickr on who he is) , the new addition to our happy little family, Mr/sir/Colonel Tye is doing very well.  He has had the chop/chop, and the shots, and I think he is pretty much my guy now.  He comes in, chows down, and heads straight for our bed to go curl up and have a snooze.  Still very independant, and not very cuddly, but very smart and for some reason, he just reminds me of Misha.  He even smells a bit like him.  Just call me the crazy cat lady!!!\

I promise , more to come in the following days.  Just need to find time!!
